David Shrigley is an artist who explores many different types of media. He's explored with painting, photography, sculpture and many more other forms of art. Shrigley has a really interesting attitude when it comes to his craft, as he would challenge himself to create a number of drawings a day, no matter what he thought of them. I find Shrigley to be a huge inspiration because he's so dedicated to his practice and I think that is the best attitude to have towards your work.

I really wanted to use text within my work, and I think Shrigley will give me a good opportunity to do so. He has humour within his work, he explores with font and I think this is a good chance for me to really play around with it. I also like his unusual drawing style, I think since he's not really bothered about his work being amazing and realistic, this will help me push along with it too. I know my characters aren't the realistic at all, which is what I'm going for.
