Venue Research:

-The space that Shannon and I have been looking at for our gallery space is the Shaun Project Space. Shannon has been getting in touch with James who owns the space, and included myself in the emails. Some of the screenshots shows an update we had received about the space we wanted, so now we'll look at booking it for a date that we are happy with. When discussing it with Shannon, we talked about end of April as a possibility, and to book the space for a week. That would include preparing the space and having the gallery open for a few days. I think we should do research into places that we could also present our work, possibly in music shops as Matthew is doing the music for our exhibition. Also with the style of our work, I think it would fit really well in an area like that. I've sent an email to my tutor about a space he mentioned a student had previously worked in that was a music shop. I wanted to ask about this because I thought it would be good just to see the option available, and do some more research on where else could be a possibility for us to work in. It would let us know if the timetables match up, if the space is available and being in contact with another organisation to help curate our gallery.
