Summary:
-To evaluate this semesters work, I would say I feel like I am happy with what I have produced so far. This is because I think I have done things I haven't done before and I've been really pleased with the outcome. I think my research journal has been something that I wish I had kept up with because it would have helped me more with my project and the text, but I will be able to go back and keep up with it. I really like where my work is going because I think for the first time in a long time I am making something that is my style. After finding Egon Schiele I think that really helped me find what I wanted to and draw and paint in the style I wanted to do. This project has also been sort of therapeutic to me because I can write what I am feeling and it really helps me get it off my chest. What I would have done to improve would be just to produce more work. Again, I have been very honest about not balancing my time equally between this module and ART281, which is something that I know I need to do. I know I have things I want to create working towards my exhibition and I need to get started on it. The images below shows all of my work together, and seeing this makes me think of what I need to do to progress, to build up my collection.
Seeing what I have completed as a collection, I understand that for the next semester I need to really push myself. This isn't as much as I would like to admit, which is disappointing. When asked in my Self Negotiated Learning Plan 'how will you measure your success?' I answered with knowing how much I pushed myself. Honestly, I think I should have pushed myself further, which I know that is something I am going to do. Also seeing all of this together, I feel like it's missing something. Since I've been working on glass, it feels really light in a way. I would like some density to my work, whether that is working with a different material or just really pushing myself with applying paint. Included below is my studio space for my ART281 Module. I thought I should include it because since the projects coincide with each other, I thought it would give more insight into my exploration.
